ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Alexis Huynh, and welcome to my digital portfolio!
I hope this site lets you learn a little more about me.

I have lived in Austin my entire life, so I attribute my quirky personality to Austin's "Keep Austin Weird" culture. Austin is a city that embraces diversity, so I've been lucky enough to be exposed to all types of people, cultures, religions, and dogs (yes, dogs). I love talking to anyone and everyone, and I truly believe that this has helped me become more open-minded in life, work, and school. While my passion is marketing, my interests range from bouldering to beauty gurus to anything space-related. (I'll really chat your ear off about space!)

I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with my Master of Science in Marketing degree from the McCombs School of Business. Prior to my graduate studies, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Advertising degree, also from the University of Texas.

I began my college career at UT as a writing major. After my first year, I realized that I wanted to do more with my writing - something creative, something that would make an impact. I’m not exactly sure how I decided to pursue advertising as a degree, but I’d like to think that it was a sign from the universe. While studying advertising, I wanted to learn more about how advertising fit into the world of marketing and business. While my advertising degree embraced creativity and taught me how to develop advertising campaigns and promotional materials, I wanted to learn the metrics of success and quantitatively analyze the market. I was able to see the impact of my work, and I began to understand how important marketing is to any business or organization. I realized that my biggest motivator was making a difference.
So my passion for marketing blossomed.
